The safe and economic operation of the turbogenerator units is affected by the characteristic of vibration of the units. During recent years, the relative departments have paid attention to the problem that is the coupling flexural-torsional vibration of turbogenerator units. There is occurring a big danger of torsional vibration due to the coupling flexural-torsional vibration, thus it is very important to study the characteristic of the coupling flexural-torsional vibration to take precautions against accidents of the units. However, men can not understand it enough at present, because of nonlinear characteristic of the coupling flexural-torsional vibration, it will be given a deeper discussion in the dissertation. This dissertation starts with single mass rotor model, and a mathematical model of coupling flexural-torsional vibration is built and the characteristic of the coupling flexural-torsional vibration has been studied. In the dissertation, the effect of the damping to the coupling flexural-torsional hrtinn ni th hrcteristic of the coupling flexural-torsional vibration which is affected by shocking torsion at different speeds in the small damping system have been discussed. By way of stimulation analysis, there are some new creative ideas in the dissertation. The results of partial stimulation calculation are proved by experiment results.
