THE PERFORMANCE RESEACH OF THE TUBE AND CORRUGATED FIN RADIATOR OF THE AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEABSTRACTWith the saltant development of the automotive industry, the demand to the engine radiator is higher. Under the precondition that the radiator has enough cooling efficiency and intension, it is the necessary trend that the volume is less, the weight is lighter, the tube wall and belt materials are thinner, and the cooling efficiency is higher.The article elaborates the construction and principle of operation and process craft of the tube and corrugated fin rad i ator, and studies the heat transfer mechani sm and the fluid resistance characteristics of the tube and corrugated fin radiator. The influent factors and available ways of the radiator' s performance consolidation are analyzed as well. The following measures are generalized for the consolidation of coo I i ng ef f i c i ency: i mprov i ng the heat transfer coef f i c i ent, increasing the logarithmic average differential temperature, expanding the heat transfer area, decreasing the weight of the radiator and so on. In practice, changing the belt wavelength, comparing the heat transfer performance of the single row tube and single wave belt with the single row tube and double waves belt, double row tubes and double waves belt, three row tubes and single wave belt, I draw a conclusion that the single row tube and double waves belt is the best. Compared with the three row tubes and single wave belt which is the old production of the BALING factory, the heat transfer capacity of the single row tube and double waves belt can increase 7. 5% or so and theair resistance can decrease 13.8% or so.In this paper, by checking up the heat calculation about the experiment results of the single row tube and double waves belt, I come at the function of the heat transfer factor j and the Reynolds number Re, I also come at the function of the f r i ct i on factor ^"and the Reyno I ds number Re. Accord i ng the heat transfer mechanism and the fluid resistance of the tube and corrugated fin radiator, I apply the computer to compile program to check up and design radiator, which makes the research theory can be d i rect I y app I i ed to manufacture process.The aim of the articeis toimprove the exper iment ana Iysis and theory design abi I ity of the radiator factory, so that the factory can manufacture and develop production better.
