| New markets for renewable hybrid power systems are emerging driven by the growing technique of renewable energy. In order to address these emerging markets, an analysis tool is required for conducting preliminary hybrid system design and evaluation. To respond this need, this paper has developed the software for the optimization of the performance and cost of hybrid power systems.This paper analyzes various operation strategies and set up the mathematical model of hybrid systems, then the database of diesel generator, PV, wind turbine, battery is modeled. This paper presents a method to jointly determine the sizing and operation control of hybrid systems. The problem becomes complicated through uncertain renewable energy supplies and load demand, non-linear characteristics of some components are interdependent. The approach finds an optimum operation strategy for a hybrid system by carrying out a search through possible options for the system operation control. The costing of the operation strategies are evaluated and component sizes are changed by the designed algorithm according to genetic algorithms.At last the software is tested to a village in Tibet and the cost-effective, reliable design of these system is analyzed. |
