ABSTRACTThis thesis analyzed a good many issue about operating normally and faultily on Hai-Jin-Jia 330kV extra high voltage transmission lines. Based on the research project of my tutor the application of a new unified power flow controller in extra high voltage transmission lines operated in two phases, the existing principle of UPFC and methods of the transmission lines operated in two phases, put the new UPFC into Hai-Jin-Jia 330kV extra high voltage transmission lines based on perfecting the framework of main net located in west of river in Gansu which can improve the quality of electric power and ensure power transmission or transfer between the main net of Gansu and the area of west of river. It can prevent tragedy of electric power system in Gansu if the transmission lines can operated in two phases, so mis diesis has obvious valuable theoretically and practically. The following is the main points.Haishrwan-Jmchang-Jiayuguan 330kV extra high voltage transmission lines is the weak line in Gansu. This thesis analyzed systemicalh/ the voltage exceeds the upper limit when operating on low load and the voltage exceeds the lower limit when the load increased in summer near two years. Aim at this problem, the problem must be paid attention to and the operation mode optimized are presented Using the new UPFC to realize shunt compensation. A suit of facility can realize shunt reactive power compensation including inductive and capacitive, little investment, adjust continuously, improve the quality of electrical power.Breaking off at Wuwei on the Hai-Jin liens, After "TI" mode joined into Wuwei 330KV transformer substation, it may bring some problems, such as fundamental frequency excessive voltage, resonance excessive vohage, stability, undercurrent, reactive power compensation, etc. These problem be analyzed. It provides the schemes of design and build Wuwei transformer substation and reform the transmission line of Hai-Jin-Jia.The two representative accident about Hai-Jin 330kV transmission lines is analyzed. Using the new UPFC can solve the problem about voltage quality and resonance excessive voltage. Using series inverter of the new UPFC, the real power transmission capacity of the line during two phase operation can increase, realize stability operated and power transmission.The net on area of west of rive in Gansu should use the Flexible ACTransmission system (FACTS) including improving ihe framework of net and using UPFC.
