The bearing capacity of foundation soil and batholith is one of the most important questions for discussion in the field of geotechnical engineering ;md foundation engineering. Since the formation of soil mechanics, this problem has been studied widely both at home and abroad, and the relevant achievements are quoted or reflected in the design code for groundwork foundation engineering. However, some other problems involved in Iheoretical analysis at deep level, new analysis methods, engineering practicality as well as spot experimentation are worth further research.Based on the summarization of the bearing capacity research at home and abroad, the paper discusses the conditions applicable for using bearing capacity formula and groundwork foundation engineering and the sampling of groundsill soil intensity parameter in present world of foundation soil engineering. Then it comes to discuss the unsolved problem of the bearing capacity of foundation soil for deformed groundwork in the geotechnical engineering field and brings forward the calculation methods for bearing capacity of deformed foundation soil.In view of bearing capacity of the elastoplastic theory analysis, the author made a comparison between the achieved bearing capacity limit load pi/4 of round base(space problem) and the limit load pi/4 of bar groundwork foundation design (plane problem)from soil mechanics at home and abroad as well as foundation criterion, and explained why the value of formula in present design criterion from soil mechanics is inclined to be conservative.In the light of the author's many years experience of vibration test on the spot and the research work of relevant projects, the author worked over the dynamic pile testing of the bearing capacity of foundation and batholith, and gathered the parameter of dynamic analysisand testing. The author also talked over the difficult point of pile foundation design criteria in present batholith engineering world, i.e. the confirmation of batholith bearing capacity of pile end,from the following aspects: a)confirmation of single axis counter-pressure strength of rock in house; b)F.E.M calculation of elastoplastic model; c) calculation of soil mechanics; d) deep well load test. According to the author's engineering practice of many on-the-spot load tests, the author designed a side wall supporting counter-force load system for the core part of deep well load device counter-force device, which is practical, simple, stable and safe.It can be said that the solution to the space problem of limit load and the calculation of foundation bearing capacity for deformed groundwork have some academic and scientific value. The dynamic pile testing of foundation and batholith as well as deep well load testing system has been put into use in real work environment and gained some social and economic benefit.
