In this paper, by using the Fourier transform technique, the problem of vibration and acoustic radiation from two concentric ring-reinforced cylindrical shells covered with sound-absorbing layers, which are immersed in infinite fluid, are investigated . The interactions at the interfaces among the elastic structure ,the compressible fluid and the viscoelastic sound-absorbing layers are taken into account . An analytic expression for the acoustic pressure in farfield are then obtained. The results of calculations are shown to be consistent with experimental results. Through further numerical calculations and analysis, the rule of influence on acoustic radiation with respect to certain structural parameters ,as well as with respect to those of sound-absorbing layers, are discussed in detail. The formula and the conclusion given here could be applied to prediction of the performance of this type of coupled systems, and to design optimization.
