According to the pseudo excitation method, a program is written for research the dynamic capability of the single-layer spherical lattice shells structure. In order to prove the correctness and applicability of the program, it and the SAP91 analysis software are used to analyze the dynamic response of a K6 single-layer spherical lattice shells structure under single-dimensional and multi-dimensional earthquake inputs respective. In addition, the effects of the structure parameters to the internal force response of the K6 single-layer spherical lattice shells structure under the different earthquake inputs is analyzed. From the results, the conclusion that the contribution of the horizontal and vertical earthquake is relevant to the natural frequency is obtained. Moreover, the relation between the first frequency of the structure and the ratio of the internal force under the different earthquake inputs is researched. At last, three experiencing equations reflecting the relation above is summarized. It can be used in engineering conveniently.
