This article made deep breakage analysis and reinforcement research into the structure of the nonferrous smelting workshop and the ore-bin, for the main content of the paper please refer to the following:1. A rather comprehensive analysis and summary on the breakage cause of the current construction and on the commonly used reinforcement technology. Taking the characteristics of the nonferrous smelting into consideration, this paper probes deep into the status-quo of the structure in the nonferrous smelting plant, and finally puts forward relevant principles concerning the repair and reinforcement work with reference to the experience gathered during the previous repair and reinforcement work on the nonferrous projects.2. Taking the zinc fine-ore bin which is corroded by the sulfuric acid as example, this paper made relevant breakage analysis and reinforcement research. The breakage degree and detecting results are introduced in the first pages, following is to apply normative method to check the possibility of having deficiencies in the original design, finally a reinforcement research is made and a reinforcement plan is formed. In the process of checking we found that: the structure of the trestle stand in the original design can meet the requirement, but due to the updating of the ore-bin design and the applied load exceeding the designed value, the load-bearing capability of the bin outer-wall in the middle of the span to the pulling horizontal bending moment is severely insufficient, this causes the concrete on the bin outer-wall to rift and thus some reinforcement treatment is needed.3. In order to further understand the load distribution in the ore-bin and ensure precise analysis into the rift problem of the ore-bin so as to form feasible reinforcement plan dealing with the rift, the internationally famed software ANSYSljj used for the structure analysis is applied in this regard for making finite element analysis on the zinc fine-ore bin under three different cases, then we compared the analysis result with that obtained by using the normative method.4. Also this paper puts great emphasis on the reinforcement mechanism of the CFRP reinforcement method and its relevant application. Referring to the research achievement and the actual status-quo of the working site, the CFRP reinforcement method is thought suitable for the ore-bin wall reinforcement after comparing many different reinforcement plans. Besides all these we also made detailed calculation on the reinforcement design of the CFRP, and at the same time raised some essential points which have to be considered during the reinforcement work.
