Study of Automatic In-Orbit Test System for Communications SatelliteThis paper presents the system design of automatic in-orbit test(IOT) system for payload of communications satellite, describes the detailed hardware design scheme and analyses the IOT test error.Because the effective software structure design, modularization design and database design are adopted, many key techniques have been solved for software program.Finally, the detailed IOT measurements scheme is discussed about satellite payload parameters, including satellite saturation flux density (SFD), satellite equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP), satellite gain to noise temperature ratio (G/T) and group delay characteristic etc.This IOT system has further reduced the time needed to complete all test and improved the test precision of payload IOT measurements. All ructions and performances of this IOT system have been proved in IOT practical measurements and daily communication service monitoring for communications satellite.
