Digital Adaptive Motor Protection Studies

This article discusses the problems of the digital motor protection relay that is used in sites at present. Then, it develops a new kind of digital motor protection, which is based on 32-bit microcontroller and has the capability of changing the settings in operation in some extent. This device overcomes the shortcoming of other devices of digital motor protection. It gives out some independent advice about the entire framework of device, about improving the reliability of software and hardware systems and about changing the settings of device in operation. This device introduces a new kind of menu and a new viewpoint of maintenance. It is easily used and expediently maintained.
