This paper focuses on some issues about the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of asynchronous motors. Firstly, a method to estimate the rotor speed, which is based on BP neural network, is introduced in this paper. Secondly, the Park Vector approach is used to monitor and diagnose the inter-turn fault of the stator winding. Finally, this paper studies thoroughly a novel approach to detect rotor bar breaking fault, which is based on the perfect combination of the Hilbert Transform and digital filter.
