Research On Improving The Quality Of Expansive Soil Of The North Part Of Hexu Express Way And Its Relation With Geological Structure

The paper analyses the expansive soil distribution of the north part of HeXu expressway affected by geological structure and stratum. By testing lots of soil samples from the district of Bengbu, Huaiyuan and Suxian ,the paper gains some indexes of expansive soil. Many beating experiments of different quality of added lime and unlimited compress strength experiments of different time have been made. According to the data of besting experiments, the paper analyses the relationship between the optimal water content and the quantity of added lime, analyses the relationship between the maximal dry density and the quantity of added lime. On basis of the data of unlimited compress strength experiments, the paper gets the relationship between unlimited compress strength of lime-soil and the quantity of added lime. The paper also discusses the reason why the lime can dispel the expansive and shrink quality of expansive soil. Finally the paper analyses the relationship between expansive soil and geological structure, and gets the expansive soil distribution of the north part of the district of AnHui province.
