The Geographic Information System (GIS) is a tool to use computer system to efficiently capture, store, update, manipulate, analyze and display all of geographically referenced information. It has been used in all fields. The traffic management system of kezhou autonomous area is built by kezhou govern and Xinjiang Agriculture University. This system I based on GIS integrated technology. It provides an effective, advanced, scientific, convenient management tool for the government. The first section of this paper is focused on the following parts, discussed the application of traffic management.(1) The basic method of integrated development with Client/Sever development tool PowerBuilder and MapInfo.(2) OLE automatic technology and OOP (Object-Oriented programming) method(3) The design of the traffic management(4) The process of electronic map's makingThe shortest path algorithms is a formed aspect of Route Planning, but the study of shortest-path based on map is still the central of research, and the achievement of short-path based on MapInfo which is most accepted desktop geographic information system in the world is still fewer. The second section of this paper discussed this problem and take kezhou'map as an instance to achieve the method of shortest-path based on MapInfo:(1) The study of shortest-path algorithms (2) The study of data-structures of computer (3) Making Windows applicative program to achieve the shortest-path used by MapBasic...
