Nigang crossroads curved girder bridge of Shenzhen City, an important transportation intersection, stands at the crossing between Nigang Road and Shangbu Avenue. This bridge was built in 1993. It was found that some problems such as twisting, departure and cracking occurred in 1# and 4# parts of curved girder bridge in 2000. Such kind of problems is typical in curved girder bridges. So, how to strengthen it and assure the expected result is an important issue. However, QC in the process of construction, especially construction monitoring is the frontline to resolve the problems that emerged in the Nigang crossroads.The thesis introduces some problems that emerged in the Nigang crossroads curved girder bridge and makes a brief illustration of its reasons. At the same time, it also makes some contracts among the methods that used to reinforce the bridge and select the best ones appropriately by course of the condition of the damage of the crossroads. In recent years, there has been a great concern among the bridge realm over the issue of construction control with the rapid progress of the construction technology. As a part of the construction control, construction monitoring becomes more and more important. This paper makes an explicit instruction about how to control the raw material, construction process and the quality of kinds of construction. Especially in the aspect of construction monitoring, this paper makes a full and explicit instruction about the goal, elemental idea, approach and enforcement of the construction monitoring. This paper makes the enforcement of the construction monitoring as its important content and explains the importance of the construction monitoring. At last, the result of the test of the bridge proves that the construction control is successful.This paper collects a lot of rare original material and date. The methods it put forward assume commonality towards common curved girder bridgesand have great referential value. Beside, they also have high referential value to the bridge design.
