Service-lifetime and reliability is estimated considering two models of uniform corrosion with effect of cracks and local corrosion on the theoretic of system simulation and reliability. The conception of nominal virtual height is brought forward to analyze the influence of cracks. And the relations between rigidity and service-time are built. In corrosions of steel, comparison of two models, ordinary traffic situation and dense traffic situation, is studied in the article. The results can be used to predict the service lifetime of RC bridges, and to develop rational and economical maintenance schemes for these bridges. The general thought: some factors which are having worked on the structures are analyzed to show their changes with service time on the theory of mathematics simulation of system and reliability. And time-dependent equations are built. With these ,the resisting force can be calculated . Vehicles-loads are simulated on the statistical characters of traffic. State of loads is obtained by the models of system. Using the Monte Carlo method, the reliability of RC members is gained in the different service time.So the evaluation of RC bridge is done easily. The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part, prolegomenon, introduces the situation of traffic in China and some techniques of detection and evaluations of maintenance. Then the new ideas are given. The second part discusses the facts that influence the maintenance of constructs. The third part is the most important in the thesis. In this part, theory of simulation is introduced and new method, which is used to evaluate the service lifetime and reliability, is discussed. In the fourth part, a model is analyzed to illustrate the application of new method that is introduced before. In the fifth part, an epilogue, some directions is brought forward to enhancing the ability of maintenance evaluation.
