According to Chinese energy policy, coal is the primary energy source of China, which won't change for a long time. Low combustion efficiency and serious pollution problems come with the behindhand facilities and technology of coal combustion. In order to reach the concordance of the energy utilization and the environment, we should develop the clean coal technology. In the future, the circulating fluidized bed (CFB) technology will be the main type of the clean coal technology and will be the emphases of development. This thesis focused on investigation into the scaling-up of CFB boiler and the static state simulation of the combustion system of a large CFB boiler.On the base of analysis of the energy utilization and the environment of our country, a summary was made to describe the advantage of CFB boiler and its development direction. And then, we introduced the status of scaling-up status of CFB boiler in the world. Made an emphasis on the problems brought by the scaling-up of CFB boiler and some achievements that had been gotten during conquering these problems. Introduced some large CFB boilers that were being built or had been built. At the same time, many mathematical models of CFB boiler combustion system were discussed.This thesis described the mathematical model of combustion system in CFB boiler. Discussed the solve method of this model. And then made simulation of the 135MWe CFB boiler of Xin Xiang power plant with msc2000 and analyzed the simulation result.At last, we put forward a primary design of a 600 MWe supercritical CFB boiler. The main areas of focus in the design of this large CFB boiler with advanced steam conditions were described. In addition, some general problems associated with the furnace structure and heat exchanger arrangement were discussed. Finally, thermo- dynamic calculation was carried out to predict the main performance parameters of the boiler.
