This thesis provides the basic knowledge of wavelet theory and its practical application. The fundamental concepts of Multi-resolution and wavelet decomposition are illustrated. The superiority of wavelet analysis to Fourier transform is demonstrated in the analysis of vibration signal processing; the principle and method of wavelet application in the rub-impact fault diagnosis are analyzed.One complete set of the fault signal's gathering and analyzing instrument is constructed. By repeatedly experiments the author concluded that the default signal in different stage has different characteristic.
