In this paper, with complete calculation micro-mechanics method, mass concrete was taken as three-phase composites, which consists of mortar matrix, aggregate and bond between matrix and aggregate. With nonlinear finite element method, the simulation of static and dynamic mechanics performance of the uniaxial compress concrete specimen of Dongjiang arch dam and simple supported beam specimen of Xiao wan arch dam was studied by means of the software of MSC.MARC.The number of all kinds of mortar matrix was calculated according to grading of aggregate of three graded concrete and Walraven function. The random position of aggregate was generated by Monte Carlo method. Furthermore, the random aggregate model was established. The mesh of finite element was generated automatically to simulate the true fabric of concrete. The different material property of elements was identified and assigned automatically. The nonlinear constitutive relation of materials was established. The two-dimensional static and dynamic mechanics performance and the process of failure of concrete materials were simulated. The result of simulation was compared to that without consideration of heterogeneous feature. The failure of concrete is caused by the formation, growth and confluence of crack, then creating the macro cracks in concrete. The simulation result of performance of concrete was compared with that of the experiments. Furthermore, the three-dimensional random aggregate model was established and the three-dimensional mesh of simple supported beam was generated automatically. Simulation of static mechanics performance of three-dimensional concrete simple supported beam was studied. The second development of FEM software-MARC was studied to identify and assign the different material property of elements automatically and display the three-dimensional simulation result. A new research method is presented for the investigation of mechanism and simulation of the property of mass concrete.
