Adaptive inverse control is a very simple and highly effective way for controlling linear or nonlinear control systems. It allows the designer to address controller and disturbance canceller separately and independently. In this thesis, adaptive inverse control for aeroengine is studied.The method of modeling and designing adaptive inverse controllers is studied, and the structure coupled with Least-Mean-Square (LMS) algorithm for controlling a linear plant is discussed. An example of controlling a non-minimum-phase linear plant is used to illustrate this control method. Simulation results show that the controller is able to accurately control the plant.Adaptive inverse control structure for linear systems is applied for aeroengine control systems. Adaptive linear filters are used as the plant model and controller. Two kinds of aeroengine control structures are proposed: one is model-reference adaptive inverse control with PI (Proportion-Integral) control modified, and the other is adaptive control based on the inverse of the plant model with PI feedback control. Both structures have the good control performances.Adaptive inverse control structure for nonlinear systems is applied for aeroengine control systems. Adaptive nonlinear filters are used as the plant model and controller. The controller based on filtered- s algorithm is adopted. Simulation results are presented to verify the method, and excellent results are obtained.Disturbance canceling for linear plants is studied. The disturbance canceling structures for linearized and nonlinear aeroengine are studied, separately. The analysis of simulation results is submitted.
