To be itself,architecture should establish a certain relationship withsurroundings,and anser the question "why should the building be here but nowhereelse".when the environment of the building is designed,cultural and psychologicalfactors always play important roles and then become the crucial part in forming thelocalness of the project. In china,Fengshui principles for house design particularlycan not be ignored. The taboo of shooting is a permanent part of Fengshui principles for housedesign. This thesis sees taboo and corresponding apotropaic as a whole context.By theadvantage of the assumption,our research can go deeply. first, familiar taboo items ofshooting should be collected and arranged into several contexts;then we can studytheir signification,search their origins and changes in history,most importantly,wecan find how this factors cooperate with each other.As a result,we will analyze how abuilding respond to the context with its form. In the last two charters,we concentrate several cases to study the currentinfluence of shooting taboo contexts and the changes of the contexts as well.
