High-speed performance of some high-power pump cannot be tested with the prescriptive speed and cannot be tested correctly in lab, for the limitation of the experimentation with situation in lab. However, performance parameters can be got through parameter-transformation if low-speed tests have been administered. The conversion is mostly according to the proportion expression of pump at present. If using the same expression to convert the parameters of the different specific speeds, the error is big and some change with the other formula. It isnot satisfied the calculational requirements and it will lead to the deviation to select the type of pump. The experimental study has the significance of selecting correct centrifugal pump, improving the efficiency and saving energy.Performance parameters and allowance are gained in this thesis through using the high(BX200-6(ns=343.03) , XL150-20(ns=249.03)), middle(BX50-31(ns=192.36) , IQ100-22A(ns=177.36)) and low (IQ65-160(ns=65.54))specific speeds centrifugal pump as the objects of experimental study.On the base of test, this paper discusses the performanace test of centrifugal pump and the comparative test with the high, middle and low specific speeds centrifugal pumps;the performance is ananlyzed in theory ; the similarity law and the formula of caviation are ananlyzed in regression by SPSS; set up the mathematical model of the best speed; economical analyse of the saving energy with the centrifugal pump.Basing on the careful study,this paper draws many conclusions:using centrifugal tester to experiment under the conditions of frequency conversion and testing the performance of centrifugal pump in different speeds(50%n~100%n). Then the comparative error with the lift and power of centrifugal pump are analyzed, the error increase with the speed decend, the lift error exceed 5% with the comparative speed exceed 0.6, the power error of the middle and high centrifugal pump exceed 5% with the speed exceed 0.9. And the rules of centrifugal pump performance are analyzed in theory. It is proved that the conversion of the lift and the flux is according to the similarity law and the error between the power conversion and the similarity law is big. In this thesis regression is used to analyze the pump similarity law and the allowance and to modify the conversion. The revision formula of the performance conversion and the empirical formula of the efficiency and the allowance conversion are gained. The results are all notable to the significance tests. It is proved that the conversion of the empirical formulas accord with the results of the tests. The saving energy with the centrifugal pump is analyzed, the effect is prominent. It is provided with the significance to adjust the rotate speed of the pumping station.
