Fiber Optic Gyroscope is one kind of angle velocity sensors based on Sagnac effect. It can measure the fiber optic's rotate speed by measuring the path difference between clockwise and counterclockwise light. The fiber optic gyros have the significant features, being compared with the traditional mass gyros, such as short worming-up time, light weight, maintenance free, reliability, wide dynamic range, low power consumption and low cost. It can be widely used in both military field and traditional field, such as satellite direct position, missile control, aircraft navigation and so on. Based on all of this, the researches on it has become hot topics in recent twenty years. The development of optic-electric apparatus performance and advancement of digital processing technology provide material foundation and technological support for high-precision fiber optic gyros. In this paper the principle of the fiber optic gyroscope is reviewed. The sort of Fiber Optic Gyro and the system reciprocal question are discussed. Based on the key technique of the IFOG the open-loop and close-loop Fiber Optic Gyro signal detection was discussed. The excellence and disadvantage of open-loop and close-loop Fiber Optic Gyro signal detection are also discussed. The signal processing scheme of all-digital closed-loop IFOG is best for high grate IFOG system. An all digital closed loop fiber optic gyroscope system based on the high speed 16 bit DSP TMS 320C5402 of TI (Texas Instruments) is presented .The system is experimented successfully. The noise and restrain measure of Fiber Optic Gyro were discussed. At last, the paper bring forward the restrain measure for not same noise, anticline scatter noise and the temperature change.
