Simulation Research On Damping Characteristic In Power System

By means of eigen-analysis , this paper presented the careful research for the damping characteristic of low frequency oscillation in power system . At the same time , this paper gived a great deal of simulation research for the total damping of system and the damping of electromechanical mode of the system using a useful tool in power system - SSAT (small signal analysis tool ).The conclusions provide the important reference for the suppression of low frequency oscillation and stable operation in power system.
