Electrical power system fault calculation is an important reference of electric equipment choice, electric network design choice and relaying protection setting calculation. Now the highvoltage network is very complicated ,its mode of operation is multivariant. It is difficult to deal with handwork. Computer science can overcome it. So the automation of fault calculation is the developmental current of electric power industry.The research job includes bringing a project about fault calculation, using node impedance matrix as maths model of network to derive the arithmetic based on the fundamental of modifying impedance matrix by adding the branch , building the whole database with Micosoft Access.The whole project is realized with Visual C++6.0. It is applied to Au Hui electric network, and is proved correct.
