Aiming at the problems of the low-grade quality and low efficient in the screw thread assembly which exist in automobile assembly of China , it is expounded in this paper that the research and manufacture of the Screw Automatic Tightening Machine will accelerate the development of the Chinese automobile industry greatly after the development situation of the Screw Tightening Machine in China or in other countries is analyzed.Firstly , all kinds of cortrol methods of tightening the screws are discussed in the paper . The method of torque-angle is adopted as the control method of the Intelligent Screw Tightening Machine on the basis of analyzing the excellence and deficiency of all kinds of control methods and taking practical situation into account .Secondly, the design of the machinery of the Tightening Machine is explained in detail, almost all parts of the structure principle diagrams are given and an introduction of function of each part in the diagram is made concisely . Finally , the control part of the Tightening Machine is introduced . The closed loop control is applied in the whole of control part and the control precision can be improved . The principle diagrams of the main circuit and the program flow diagram of the main control system are given .
