Immersing evaporation cooling is a kind of new cooling technique with high efficiency and safety. In this paper, mechanics of thin plates and shells is used in the field of the evaporation cooling technology for the first time. Stress and translation of sleeve cylinder used in immersing evaporation cooling motors are analyzed under the condition of small dimension and air-gap of the motor. It has significance of the evaporation cooling technology's correlative theories.Under the assumption of the equality and isotropy of the sleeve cylinder's material, mechanics of thin plates and shells is used to analyze the deformed condition of the sleeve cylinder. The characteristic of its structure is under consideration, and the deformed displacement is calculated. With the method of finite element analysis, the simulation of 2-D thermal-stress and translation of the thin sleeve cylinder is performed, and the simulation of its deformed displacement is performed under the equivalent axis-symmetrical pressure. The experiment of the stator"s sleeve cylinder is carried out with a modal of the evaporation cooling asynchronous turbogenerator. The inner diameter of the thin sleeve cylinder is measured under different pressure. Experiment result shows that the deformed displacement is almost agreement with the calculation results. The error between the experiment result and calculation is discussed.
