In this paper, the process of directional collapse of high reinforced concrete chimney was discussed with finite element method, combining with engineering experiment. A finite element software-ANSYS/LS-DYNA was used to analyze the collapsing process of chimney with three different blasting incision type. With integrated finite element model, nonlinear element analysis of support location destroying by chimney weight was carried on. The process of directional collapse of high reinforced concrete chimney was discussed, combining with the engineering experiment's results. Moreover, the factors which can change the collapse direction were analyzed. Then a program that can control the direction of collapse effectively was given. And study how to choose blasting incision angle with material mechanics.
