The combined long span arch and rigid-frame bridge appear lately in China. This thesis focuses on the design scheme of Caiyuanba Yangtze River bridge in Chongqing, mainly discussing the problems on the static stucture behavior, shrinkage, creep, stability and dyne tic characater etc about this style of bridge. Firstly, the author detailedly presents the process of building up the integrated finite element model for Caiyuanba Yangtze River bridge by MIDAS/CIVIL, a large-scale FEM software. Then the structure behaviors under loads of all construction stages and completed bridge stage are computed, especially anlyzing the effects of dead loads, prestressing force, shrinkage, creep, changes of global temperature and local temperature and ten-type load combinations on the compute. And then, seismic response characteristics is studied by the time history analysis and the response spectrum analysis and also the main factors which influence the stable safe coefficient are discussed. Therefore, the static, dynamic, stable behavior and computiiig method of combined long span arch and rigid-frame bridge are comprehensively understood.
