In the last ten years, the frequency of accidents deep excavation accidents of our country's construction engineering is very high because of some known reasons. Such as the too deep excavation, the high water table, the bad groundwork, the immature deep pit retaining structure and the bad diathesis of the construction teams. So, owing to these, the losing is even more than billion Yuan and cause much bad society impact. Because the excavation engineering cost too much and is temporary, many units don't wish pay what should be invested. But once the accident happens, it is hard to deal with and the results of the society losing and economy losing are very serious.Because groundwork medium is complex and many other uncertain reasons are unknown, we cannot adopt determinate methods to analyze the deep excavation to reflect the truth. It is certain we make use of reliability theory basing on the probability Stat. methods to analyze the invalidation probability of deep pit retaining structure. What should be noted is that we should collect much more engineering data to obtain the accurate model character.Therefore, after I have done a lot of research. I make an analysis of the fixed valuemethod--the currently method in the engineering structure reliability analysis in this paper.This paper points out the merit and shortcoming and why it is now in use and gropes for the theory and method of the reliability dealing with the retaining structure.This paper analyzes the reliability of the deep pit retaining structure and its system quantificationally basing on the reliability theory. This paper analyze the calculate method using in the engineering and explain the shortcoming of the Fixed value. This paper analyzes the idea, meaning of the reliability on the deep pit retaining and the method of establishing the model of reliability. Aiming at different retaining structure, analyzing the main destroys mode and establishing different utmost state equation and it's reliability model. This paper discusses the reliability of the excavation system, emphasizing the function of space and the whole of the excavation system and establishing the utmost state equation of the excavation system. So, the excavation system reliability model is established. This paper discusses the influence of the variability of influence parameter.Through calculation of two examples, the availability of the method is verified. The research of this paper is useful for the design and construction of deep pit.
