| Thermoacoustic prime mover is an absolutely new type of compressor. It hasn't any moving part so it can work for a long period without maintenance. Waste steam and solar energy can be used as its heating-resources so that it has many applications especially for the places having no electricity supply. We use the self-built thermoacoustic prime mover to drive the pulse tube refrigerator. It is a new type of refrigeration and will have many applications in the future. After reviewing the history and recent developments of the research on thermoacoustics, and introducing the classical thermoacoustic theory, we carry out the following investigations:1) A Data Acquisition System applied in pulse tube refrigeration driven by thermoacoustic prime mover experimental equipment is established. It is simple, efficient, precise and maneuverable.lt well satisfies the measurement and data acquisition requirement of our experiment.2) Contrastive experiments with brass and stainless steel screen stacks in thermoacoustically driven pulse tube refrigerator are carried out. Based on the analysis of axial and transverse heat transfer characteristics, the experimental results are discussed.3) Contrastive experiments with jacket type water coolers and shell-and-tube water coolers are carried out. By the method of TASFE-the time-average steady-flow equivalent, their thermoresistance and pressure drop are calculated. By analysis, the illustrations to improve the performance of cold-end heat exchanger are proposed.4) Experiments have been done on the self-built pulse tube refrigerator driven by standing wave thermoacoustic prime mover system. By the optimizations of the openings of orifice and double inlet valves, a refrigeration temperature as low as 115.4K has been achieved. By operating the double inlet valve of the pulse tube refrigerator, the onset temperature of the thermoacoustic system decreases from 550 癈 to 340?. It provides the possibility of utilizing the low-grade heat energy. In the end, the summarization of the dissertation is also given. |
