With the fast development of power electronic technology, much non-linear load emerging in power system led to the severe aberrance of current and voltage wave, so the metering error of watt-hour meter (induction watt-hour meter and full electronic watt-hour meter) used in the power department should be considered. In order to deal with the metering error caused by harmonics, an equipment is puted forward for analyzing the harmonics energy's metering error, which includes the analytic software of harmonics energy's metering Error and the data acquisition system.In order to deal with the metering error caused by harmonics, closely theoretical study is carried out and a lot of experiment is implemented, then a nonlinear mapping mathematic model that shows the relationship between harmonics and watt-hour's metering error by means of BP neural network is established. The research result shows: There are good correlations between the calculation result and the experimental data.An analytic software package, Based on the model, of watt-hour meter's harmonic metering error is developed using VC++. net. This software development adopts blocking design method, it includes nine blocks: main block, data acquisition block, neural network block, calculation block, database block, report block, curve block, user block and help block.A data acquisition system which includes signal converter, data acquisition board and industry control computer is designed to supply real time harmonics data to the analytic software of watt-hour meter's harmonic metering error.The analytic equipments of harmonics energy's measuring error can calculate the watt-hour meter's harmonic metering error, help the power department to analyze the loss of electric metering, and give a reference to cancel the harmonic pollution.
