Abstract/Summary:
Focusing on the pedestrian environment space of the commercial street, the paper is composed of four parts: space perception, interface brief account, space expression and people activities at which it ultimately aims The relationship between the pedestrian environment space and the interface of the commercial street is carried through the paper in which the continuance of the interface is pinpointed. In details, this paper analyzes the way in which the interface creates humanistic pedestrian environment space, and then discusses the relationship between the people activities and the pedestrian environment space of the commercial street. The study emphasizes on how to express it through the column space order and the cross space order; clarifies the two forms: the movement space and the stagnation space; analyzes the main factors influencing the space expression and at last gives an example of WangFuJing commercial street in Peking. The ultimate purpose is to direct design practices to a certain extent by illustrating the right way in the creation of humanistic pedestrian environment space of the commercial street.
