Research On The Compound-interface Of The Urban Street Space

On the basis of the main theories of urban design, the thesis put forward the conception of the compound-interface, and proceeding from the relationship between compound-interface and urban street space, it studied the significance of the compound-interface to the forms of the urban street space.First, not only the history and the types of the interface, but also the important functions and significance, the history and the development of the compound-interface were made definite from congnition. Then, the thesis summarized the theories of the urban design, on which the theory of compound-interface being founded. Next, the pluralistic properties of the compound-interface were explained. Using the theories of the compound-interface of urban design, the thesis analized the compound methods from scale and types. Giving an example of the development and renewal of the Huangxing Pedestrain Street, the thesis also explained the significance of compound-interface to the organic renewal of the urban street space. In the end, it summarized the meanings of the creation of compound-interface, and put forward the tactics of the whole course.The thesis paid attention to do the research from the intergration of the urban environment, the diversity of humanbeings, and even from varies disciplines and levels.
