In recent years, harmonics tend to more stress in the power system. The reason of this is thought to be: The increase of the shock load and nonlinear load result in the increase of the disturbing factors, in addition, the problem of the harmonics and negative sequence becomes more and more serious. On the other hand, the uses of switched-sources in quantities by common consumer and the fluorescence light load in point of connection common system have gradually become to be main harmonic sources in the distribution networks. The increase of the harmonic elements will lead to a series of problems, such as the reduction of the service life of the electrical equipments, the increase of dissipation and possibility of harmonic resonance; in addition, it will also result in the mistake action of the relay protection and the automation devices, meter indication and electronic watt-hour meter error and communication disturbing, etc. Therefore, it is very important and essential to analyses accurately the reason and the mechanism of the harmonic and to adopt the valid measures to control its effects.The database system based on the graph and information technology is adopted in the thesis, in which all the measuring data in different time and places are administrated, and the indices of the harmonic and power quality can be searched out quickly. In addition, binding data-read construction connects the database system and the power quality monitor network to complete the task of the statistics and file-save management, etc. The system can compute the harmonics in which various harmonics of the voltage and current can be computed and harmonic simulation with respect to the networks can also be carried out.At last, the software is used to make compute for an instance for the Xichang network, in which the effectiveness of the system is demonstrated. In addition, the control measures for the harmonic sources are proposed in the thesis.
