| As we know, CPC is a high efficient component of light collected which isespecially applicable to the situation of small space. With the rapid development ofsolar energy thermal utilization, it becomes an important topic to apply CPCtechnology to solar energy collector.A comprehensive review on the status and development trend of solar energythermal utilization is presented in this dissertation. It is pointed out that the thermalutilization of solar energy at middle-low temperature has an excellent prospect in ourcountry in the coming years. Based on consulting a number of references, theperformance of the cusp reflector-heat pipe evacuated tubular solar thermal collectoris analyzed and researched systematically with the approach of combining thetheoretic analysis and the experiment study.The main results in this paper are as follow:(1) Study on concentrating performance of the cusp reflector: According to theanalysis on the function of the reflector, the conception designed of the reflector'sshape and the concentration ratio of the reflector, with the mathematical and opticalapproach, a qualitative description is given about it's performance. In addition, thecomparison with other analogue is made through a series of experiments. It is foundthat this kind of collector can completely meet the design requests through thetheoretical analysis and experimental verification. Then, the one of key factors ofdeveloping the CPC collector is seal skills in vacuum condition.(2) Study on collector instantaneous efficiency and heat loss coefficient: Basedon heat transfer analysis and relative experiment, calculating methods for determiningthe overall heat loss coefficient and collector efficiency are presented. Instantaneousefficiency curve are also tested. Experimental results coincide with theoreticalcalculations quite well.(3) Study on the performance of the inclined CPC collector: The mechanism andperformance of heat transfer inside the inclined thermosyphon, and heat transferperformance of the inclined thermosyphon in operating situation are discussed.. It ismainly focused on the mechanism and performance of heat transfer and the pressureloss during the process of flow.All of research results indicated that CPC collector has it's own advantagescompared with other collector and it is a good way to utilized the solar energyeffectively.
