The paper based on technology of Virtual Instruments uses computer and important hardware to develop a detecting system of pile foundation mass by software programming. The system is simple, convenient, high efficiency and low cost.The system is composed of two parts: hardware and software. Hardware of this system includes computer, sensor and soundcard, and so on. The system uses soundcard, which is a standard layout of computer, to take the place of data acquisition board; the system's key is software which mainly includes driver and application program. Driver of this system is just the driver of soundcard. Application program is developed by VC which includes data acquisition module, waveform display module of real time signal, data storage module and signal analysis module, and so on. Signal analysis module of this system use MATLAB to set up a de-noising module to de-noise signal acquired, and suitable wavelet base is selected to analyze and process the real signal acquired to abstracted useful information, then judges mass defects of pile foundation according to the principle of reflected wave.
