The quality of the Three Gorges Project should be good enough to pass the test of history. Many domestic and international specialists have carried out a series of research and made great progress in hydroelectric construction.The five-stage ship-locks is one of the main constructions in the Three Gorges Project, the quality of which has been arousing strong concern in the field of hydroelectricity in the past few years.The thesis first presents a comprehensive discussion about the quality control of the Three Gorges Project's permanent ship-locks in the view of construction, then mainly deal with the quality management system, the materials quality control an the construction process quality control etc. On the basis of the above work, it objectively analyses the difficulty in the concrete quality control and the corresponding special measures to take in concrete construction, such as the construction method of single-side sliding form, the comprehensive temperature control measures and the defect treatment and so on, all of which will play an important part in supervising the construction of other hydro-electric projects.The main contents are as follows:1. There are many factors which bring us challenges in concrete construction and ordeal of temperature control, for example, the great amount of concrete placement per year of the locks, the drastic temperature changes of concrete when it is placed in hot weather, the short supply of pre-cold concrete during the constructionrush period, especially the large temperature tension stress because of the special structure of the locks' thin side-walls. Many temperature control measures are taken during the concrete construction of permanent ship-locks and in this article these measures and their results are mainly explored.2. The total water head and the stage water head for the ship-locks' operation; the project size and the structures' grade all can share the fame of "the largest " in the world. Because of the frequent water level fluctuations and the high velocity of water in the corridor for water, the concrete surface must be with high quality. During the course of concrete surface defect treatment in permanent ship-locks, advanced treatment process and method come to light. After necessary treatment, the quality of concrete agrees with the design specifications, which has been tested during the real operation. The thesis researches workmanship, the materials and the results of the defect treatment.
