| Gyroscope is indispensable in the control systems and inertial navigation systems on the carriers such as the plane, the missile, the ship etc. With the development of navigation, aviation and cosmic voyage, the demand for the control of the carrier and the precision of navigation is becoming higher and higher. For the reason that the error of gyro is always the main source of error in the control and navigation systems, the study of technology of measurement and compensation plays a more and more important part in this field. The appearance of DTG (Dynamically Tuned Gyroscope) is a great revolution and breakthrough, which has the advantages of simple structure, high stability, low cost of manufacture, small volume, longevity of service, relatively high precision and so on. It is used widely now in the fields of missile, aviation, spaceflight, navigation, earth gauging, oil drilling etc. and it would be popular for a long time in the future.The drift of DTG is the main error source of platform gyrocompass comprising it. One of efficient methods to improve the precision of platform compass is to improve the precision of gyroscope. In the process the measurement of gyro drift, building the model of drift and compensation of error is crucial. In this paper, we would discuss where the drift of DTG comes from, analyze the methods of measurement of the constant drift, random drift and slope drift and build the models of drift error respectively.During these years, the study of "measurement of gyroscope" in our country is booming, especially with the appearance of various types of gyroscopes with high precision, many institutions have been engaged in the study of technology of measurement of gyroscope, which are becoming more and more completed. |
