At present, the infrared bearing temperature detecting technique has been widely applied in the dynamic auto-monitoring of rolling stocks' bearing temperature. The system has many functions such as automatic counting of rolling stocks and axles, automatic detecting axle box's temperature, automatic judgment of the rolling bearing and the sliding bearing, automatic alarming and printing, reappearing of axle boxes' waveform and compatibility of passenger and goods train. The system can be communicated by the computer network and realized the following of the hot axle and the centralized management. The system can avoid the accidence of the rolling stock's hot axle, which ensures the security of train running. However, the infrared bearing temperature detecting equipment applied has many problems, such as inaccurate detecting position, weak anti-interference ability, shortage of fault auto-forecast, missing the alarm of rolling stock's coming and guard against theft. So, the article begins with the practical experience accumulated by the author in the maintenance of the infrared bearing temperature detecting equipment, combined with the usage situation in Baoji rolling stock depot of Zhengzhou railway bureau. Some improved measures were brought forward in the paper and applied in practice. Good effect was acquired at last. The paper's main contents are as follows: 1 . The fundamental principle of the rolling stock's infrared bearing temperaturedetecting and the composition of the system were analyzed at first. Problemsexisting in the application of today's infrared bearing temperature detectingsystem were pointed out.2. Aimed at the situation of the application of rolling bearing and axle box in domestic trains, optimal research on the detecting position of the infrared bearing temperature detecting equipment has been carried out.3. Aimed at the shortage of remote self-fault detection in the old infrared detecting system, resolved scheme was studied.4. Safety protection precaution system of the infrared monitoring was added.5. Practical application was summarized at last.The paper stressed on the remote fault diagnose of the infrared bearingtemperature detecting system, which was applied in practice. The fault delay of the infrared bearing temperature detecting system was compressed effectively, which consummated the function of the system. The system improved has been applied in Baoji rolling stock depot of Zhengzhou Railway Bureau, which realized the anticipative objective. The system improved the security, stability and diagnoses speediness of the infrared bearing temperature detecting equipment, which improved the security of rolling stocks.
