The forecast methods of the bridgewire electric explosive device's function time and no-firing current were studied, based on one of the non-destructive testmethods-------transient pulse test(TPT) in this paper. The medicament's firingtemperature was measured. With the DR-3 electric explosive device non-destructive test system, the electric-thermal parameters on the bridgewire such as the temperature rise, the temperature rise constant, the thermal capacity and the heat loss factor were measured, the relations between the electric-thermal parameters and the function time were studied. The result has shown that the relations of the temperature rise and the heat loss factor to the function time is remarkable. The function time and the no-firing current of the electric explosive device were forecasted using two modelingmethodst-----he mathematical model and the artificial neural network model withthese electric-thermal parameters. Compared with the measured time, the forecast values of the function time with the artificial neural network model is nearer than that forecasted by the mathematical model. The forecast values of the no-firing current using two modeling methods are close, but smaller than the value measured by the up and down method.
