Transformer is one of the most in common use equipments in electric power industry. The condition of its operating will directly effect the safe stabilization run-time of the electric power section. For the sake of on time useful control what power transformer of operate condition, it is very necessary that transformer progress is on-line to monitor. The characteristics and shortcomings of the existing testing instruments are analyzed, and a new instrument based on DSP technology and LAN is designed. Though the data carrier stores chained by dual-port static ram, ADC store data to dual-port ram and DSP take off the data from dual-port ram separately, and DSP pretreatment the data, if distrustful data is found, then ship off the data to background computer throughout LAN, who treat this distrustful data ulteriorly. We use network interface card RSL8019AS of NE2000 controlled by SCM, the interface of SCM and DSP is HPI. This design ensures the real-time of the data acquisition and processing, by and large. This test gives the hardware design of data preprocessing based on DSP and data transmission based on LAN, at the same time some software' s program of data transmission based on LAN is given.
