Piezoelectric materials possess high degree of high power density, greater efficiency and potential for low cost manufacture in comparison with alternative electromechanically coupled materials. As a result, the applications of piezoelectric materials have given rise to the remarkable progress of sensors and actuators used in the self-controlling and self-monitoring smart structures. In many practical devices, the layered structures consist of the piezoelectric and other materials are most widely adopted. So much attention has focused on the dynamic response of the layered piezoelectric structuresScattering and dynamic stress concentrations of time harmonic SH-wave in homocentric cylindrical piezoelectric inclusions are studied with the help of complex variable and wave function expansion method. The relations that the stress field depends on intensity of incident wave and electric field are revealed. The expressions of dynamic stress at edge of the inclusions are obtained. Numerical calculations of the circular lining structure and the piezoelectric medium with an inverse electric orientational cylindrical inclusion are made with different wave numbers and different piezoelectric characteristic parameters. The calculating results show that dynamic analyses are very important to piezoelectric medium of the lining structure and the piezoelectric medium with an inverse electric orientational cylindrical inclusion at lower frequencies and large piezoelectric characteristic parameters.
