Establishment Of Testing System For CARR Digital Reactor Protect System

China Advanced Research Reactor (CARR) is a high-performance and multi-purpose advanced research reactor. As an important part of CARR I&C system, the protect system ensured the reactor to operate safely.The CARR digital reactor protect system (RPS) has being developed through the archetype and will be integrated by high-quality commercial grade computer system. According to GB/T 13629-1998 {Applicable criteria for digital computers in safety systems of nuclear power plants)), the commercial grade dedication is necessary to confirm suitability of the commercial grade computer system. As one of item of commercial grade dedication, the testing system was established for CARR digital reactor protect system. The system can produce some signals synchronously and input to the I/O station of CARR RPS, at the same time it can monitor the real-time output of RPS and judge the state of the digital RPS.The testing system will test the function and capability of the RPS and check action times and ability of continuously working of the RPS before the digital RPS really put in operation in CARR. The applicability of technical scheme and reliability of hardware/ software of the CARR RPS can be verified by the system. All the results got by the testing system will be submitted to the authorities of nuclear safety, it is favorable to approval of the CARR RPS.The testing system choose SNAP distributed I/O control system of OPTO22 to develop. The requirement, constitutes, structure, configuration of the testing system and its programmed and the human machine interface (HMI) which establishd base on the OPTO22 SNAP system are described in this thesis.The testing system of CARR digital reactor protect system provide testing means with simple control way and straightforward HMI with high efficiency. In terms of the practice of the testing system, some object has been reached, for example, to familiarize the OPTO22 system, verify the feasibility of the testing system and solve the key technology of establishing the testing system.
