With the development of country economy , trafficvolume ,traffic speed andautomobile weight are increasing . In our country , it is very serious that joints aredestroyed .Not only jointless bridge can answer that question , but also it has much othermerit . For example jointless bridge can reduce expense of bridge maintenance andimpact to bridge . Jointless bridge inprove environment of travelling crane andprolong bridge's life . Jointless bridge also save the cost . So jointless bridge will beabroad adopted in future. But the theory of jointless bridge is imperfect . The designand construction of jointless bridge are very limited . Furthermore, the factor whichhave an effect upon mechanics of jointless bridge is very much . Consequently it issignifiable that a optimal beam or slab is achieved .The optimal beam or slab iseconomy and surplus in stress . At the same time we must understand mechanicsperformance of abutment . That work may bring convenience for design of jointlessbridgen and make jointless bridge used broadly. The main contents of the paper are described as follows. a. Using software Dr.bridge 2.9 , author build bridge models which are different in span (16m,20m,25m ,30m ,35m, 40m).Concrete T beam bridge has four kinds of spans (25m,30m,35m,40m).Concrete slab bridge has two kinds of spans(16m,20m).Each bridge is equipped with prestressed steel bar in reasion . b. A theory that can combine cost with capability of mechanics is brought forward . Optional beam or slab is achieved by that theory. c. The abutment that has a great disadvantage in mechanics is choosen from all abutments that have the same span . Then the paper validate the stress of the finite element model of that abutment. d. The paper give the chart about the lay and amount of prestressed steel bar . The paper willcontribute to the use of jointless bridge .
