Combustion test is still the main method for research of combusting reaction mechanism and new technology developing. With combustion test we can Explore the inner regulations of combustion process and optimize design proposal and operation mode so as to improve the economic efficiency and stability of combustion process and reduce the emission of pollutants. Thus, the international researchers attach importance on the combustion test for a long term. And the technology level and development in this field is also very important for the development of energy source field of our country.Combustion temperature measuring technology is one of the basis of combustion theory and technology development. The measurement of furnace 3-D combustion temperature distribution is very effective for extensively researching for combustion process in furnace. The article introduced a method of temperature distribution measuring in furnace with a new type of "water-cooling suction thermocouple" which consists of thermocouple part, shade cap and water-cooling suction casing. The thermocouple, the secondary instruments and suction system consist of a complete set of suction thermocouple pyrometer, which could effectively reduce the effect of radiation in furnace and exactly and quantitatively measure the temperature of defined point in furnace. Flue gas composition analysis technology is located at a very important position in industry and scientific research. The article illustrated the process of measuring the compositions of gases with galvano-chemistry theory using a set of furnace flue gas & particle multifunction sampling analyzer developed by ourselves. And the instrument uses unique module board, which makes the three parts of temperature measuring, flue gas composition analyzing and uniform velocity fly ash collecting independent, not disturbing one each other. And the instrument can also measure multiple parameters simultaneously. The article also introduced the on-site temperature measuring, flue gas analyzing and fly ash collecting experiment on a 300MW boiler. The experiment obtained good data. With these data, we analyzed the combusting status in the furnace. And the recommendations for operational improvement of boiler are given. What should point out here is that the work in this article is just a preparation phase of furnace combustion modeling, and its purpose is to accumulate experience and do some exploration work for the real-time furnace combustion model reconstructing on boiler of next step.
