The Experimental Investigation Of Using The Geotextile To Reinforce The Soft Soil

Because of the low shearing strength, the soft soil may bring about much harm in practical engineering. We can make use of composite material which be made up of geotextile and grit to reinforce the soft soil. The geotextile has the merit of tensile and the grit has the merit of compressive resistance, And the composite material has the merits of the two materials. The two merits make the composite material can reinforce the soft soil well. Because the geotextile also has the merits of reinforce, insulation and drainage, it can make the function of accelerate the drainage and prevent the lateral deformation and confine ground subsidence. The geotextile also can prevent the grit into the soil and spoiling the structure of the soil. It can increase the work efficiency and decrease the processing costs. We checked the capability of the geotextile . And also check the uniaxial compressive strength of the two models , one is with geotextile the other is without geotextile. All the capabilities are checked by indoor laboratory. Basing on all of those laboratory , we study the mechanical property that how the geotextile reinforce the soft soil.It includes the following consent:(l)This thesis elaborates the actuality and problem of the soil hardening technique;(2)Analyzing mechanism how the geotextile reinforce the soft soil(3)Using the indoor laboratory to compare the two models of which one is with geotextile and the other is without geotextile .we can get the force and the force of the two models.
