Since the creation of plastic, it has now become the third biggest material after metals and woods.As the rapid development of plastic industry and due to the undegradability of plastic, people has paid more attention to the pollution caused by it. According to the reports, the packaging waste has taken 30% of all the plastic rubbish, So the buffer material is the most important. In order to release the pression of plastic pollution. many countries has strictly limited the use of EPE and EPS, and compel people to use pulp-molded products to replace plastic productions. But pulp-molded products can not meet the requirement of large-scale package as the bad cushioning performance of pulp-molded products. So the buffer material which not only has good performance but also can degradable and recycle became the hotpot of research. This paper mainly describes the choice of the raw materials,the effect of each composition for the performance and structure of the material, the mechanics testing of the material, the degradbility testing of the material and the processing technology of the material during the researching process of plant fiber cushion which can degradable and recycle. From the different perspective, choose the best material of buffer material, indigents and processing technology, we can produce the buffer material which has good cushioning performance and degradability.
