In Power System, studying the Area Control Errors(ACE) in Automatic Generation Control(AGC) can effectively improve the performance of Frequency control, and also makes sense to the secure and stable running of the system. Adopting ACE theory in Tie-lines Control is helpful to control the exchanged Power of Tie-lines and reinforce stability of Tie-lines。In this article, the control of ACE under disturbed load and Tie-lines control are thoroughly studied respectively. The research work falls into two parts: one is under disturbed load, while the other under Tie-lines control. Under disturbed load the algorithm of ACE is amended, due to the fact that adjusting device errors in control areas of Interconnected Power System may lead to vibration of frequency and exchanged power, which may result in time error and energy error. The simulation result indicates that the control performance of amended ACE algorithm has obvious advantage over the traditional one. Moreover, given the influence of generation rate constraint(GRC) or alteration of parameters, the Fuzzy Neural Network(FNN) is used to control the ACE. The simulation result shows that FNN control can meet the demand of ACE control. In order to reduce fuzzy sets numbers, the self-organized Neural Network is used to train the FNN , so that a simplified FNN could be obtained. The simulation result presents the function of the simplified FNN in controlling the ACE .When studying the ACE performance of Tie-lines exchanged power, the ACE is treated as tie-lines control guide .This article adopts the TBC of AGC to control ACE of exchanged power, so that the control object function and constraint condition could be gained. The control strategy and related algorithm have been studied to meet the demand of exchanged power control, based on the ACE of Wanjiazhai program of Automation Company, Nari Group. The ACE in unit distribution strategy is also studied, where we define the conception of adjusting response coefficient and then enlighten the idea of sequencing such coefficients by their values which represent exchanged power adjusting ability. And we also define conception of the first adjust unit and predict that this variable should be considered as key index in unit distribution strategy for futureresearch. The simulation result shows that control strategy and unit distribution strategy are valid to control ACE of exchanged Power in Tie- lines.
