By means of the theories and methods of mathematics and mechanics together with dam engineering knowledge, time-varying monitoring model, time-varying parameters and methods of abnormality diagnosis of concrete dam's deformation are systematic studied. The main contents are as follows:(1) Safety monitoring time-varying model of concrete dam's deformation is established. And the GASA (genetic algorithm and simulated annealing algorithm) is applied to establishing the time-varying monitoring model, based on which, the time-varying monitoring model is optimized.(2) Back analysis methods of elastic modulus of dam body and foundation for concrete dam are researched, and the time-varying behavior of elastic modulus for concrete is studied. In addition, the generalized Kelvin model is used to describe rheological behavior of concrete dam. On the basis of this, the object function is established to back analyze rheological parameters and is solved by variable metric method , and corresponding analysis program is developed.(3) On the basis of the time-varying monitoring model, the time-varying behavior of elastic modulus, fractal dimension and cusp catastrophe model, deformation behavior of concrete dam is analyzed. Otherwise, based on the ideas of fuzzing mathematics and AHP(analytic hierarchy process), the any simple evaluation methods are syncretized, and synthesis evaluation model of dam deformation is established.(4) Based on practical situation of the Chitan dam, the time-varying monitoring model of its typical monolith is set up by using the above theory and methods, and the elastic modulus and rheological parameters are back analyzed. In addition, the synthesis evaluation model of its deformation is established, and its deformation behavior is evaluated.
