Multi-objective evolutionary algorithm(MOEA) is a method that can optimize multiple objectives effectively and parellelly. In this dissertation, the basic theory, typical algorithms and its applications in aeroengine control system design of MOEA is studied fully. The essence and all the basic operations of genetic algorithm(GA) is analysed at the beginning, and presents the usage of GA by an example about multi-modality function optimization. The result shows GA can offer good performance in solving this kind of problem. Chapter 3 gives a full-scale study and analyse about MOEA, presents the main idea of MOEA, analyses five typical MOEAs, the advantages of MOEA is showed in a succedent example about multi-objective optimization. At the end of this chapter, a new encoding scheme is proposed. In chapter 4, the speed controller parameters of an aeroengine model is optimized by NSGA-II in all possible operation points of two working condition. The result shows good dynamic and stable performance. At the end of this dissertation, the optimization role is changed to finding a set of control modes and associated controller parameters for the aeroengine model. The final result is satisfactory.
